Fans of popular SPEED road rally inspired television series,
Bullrun, will want to tune into the Bullrun Survival Guide
premiere on Friday, Feb. 12 at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT, to
get the ‘lowdown’ on the show’s new season – including an
introduction to the new competitors.
Bullrun, hosted by former wrestling star and car enthusiast Bill
Goldberg, is set to unveil its second season on SPEED on Feb. 18
at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.
The Bullrun Survival Guide goes onto the set of Bullrun as the
competitors and production crew shot the Mojave (Calif.)
Airplane Graveyard challenge episode, grabbing a quick glimpse
of how executive producers and rally organizers Andrew Duncan
and David Green create the pyrotechnics, devise the challenges,
while capturing the newest season of the show. The audience will
also meet the new contestants and will hear from the host,
Goldberg.
“The Bullrun Survival Guide will ignite and renew the fan’s
enthusiasm for knowledge of the television show’s great cars and
characters,” said Steve Craddock, SPEED SVP of Programming. “The
Bullrun Survival Guide will let viewers see first hand where all
the action and competition happens – tempers weren’t the only
thing that simmered in this show. It’s a perfect way start
Season Two of Bullrun on SPEED.”
Bullrun is a ‘made-for-television’ road rally where 12
competitors are pitted against each other to navigate highways
and roadways in reaching targeted destinations. No mechanical
aides are allowed, including GPS systems and cell phones, only a
driver and navigator – whose relationships can become testy in
the midst of competition. At each checkpoint, participants will
be selected to take part in various driving challenges, many of
which determine which team will be eliminated from that round of
competition.
The Format for the Upcoming Season 3:
Each episode of the competition consists of four distinct stages
- The Starting Leg (#1), Landmark Leg (#2), Final check point
Leg (#3), and Elimination Challenge (#4).
The fastest Team of all three legs combined becomes the Picker.
They choose the last open spot in the episodes Elimination
Challenge. The other two teams in the episodes challenge are the
slowest in the days driving legs.
The slowest team of the three teams in each episodes Elimination
Challenge will be shown the exit. Their keys will be tossed to
them by Bill Goldberg, and they will then have to immediately
leave for home.
There is an extra special twist this season! You are going to
have to wait to see the insane action it causes the teams. It
will be EPIC! A real game changer that will have you spinning
your head and yelling at your TV.
